To the south the beach is lined with a choice of upscale hotels offering a range of creature comforts. Regular police patrols provide a safe and hassle-free environment for you to sunbathe, swim and enjoy a range of beachside activities. Vendors offer jet skiing, windsurfing and boogie boarding as well as quad bikes, dune buggies and horse and camel rides.

Note: When swimming in the sea, watch out for the occasional strong undertow; if in doubt, stick to the hotel or beach club’s swimming pool – a safer option for children.

Best time to visit Agadir?
Best time to honeymoon in Agadir is during the summer months between June and September, when you can expect long sunny days with clear skies and an average temperature of 23°C and a high of 26°C.

Note: Non-Muslim travellers may wish to avoid Morocco during the month-long fast of Ramadan, when cafés and almost all restaurants are closed during the day. Ramadan runs from 11 August to 9 September in 2010; from 1 to 29 August in 2011; and from 20 July to 18 August in 2012.

Location – Agadir lies on Morocco's Atlantic coast, around 273km southwest of Marrakech. The city’s al-Massira airport is located just 25km east of the city centre and receives direct flights from Marrakech, Casablanca and several cities in Europe and the Middle East.
