About the Seabourn Pride
Launched in 1988 and refurbished in 2005, the Seabourn Pride (operated by The Yachts of Seabourn) offers guests impeccable personalised service in deluxe accommodation on a ship that is truly more like a private yacht than a mainstream cruise ship. The Seabourn Pride can visit ports many larger ships can't access while still providing an uncompromising level of service in even the most remote corners of the world.
Accommodation – All-suite ocean view cabins feature a spacious living area and bedroom, a wide picture window or balcony, walk-in closet, fully stocked bar, a writing desk, a spacious marble-clad bath and a walk-in closet.
Amenities include complimentary champagne upon arrival, 24 hour room service, personalised stationery, fruit basket replenished daily, terry-cloth robes, Eqyptian cotton linens, aromatherapy by Molton Brown, Bose Wave radio CD, flat-screen TV with DVD player, daily newspaper, nightly turndown service and fine soaps by Hermés, Bijan and L’Occitane. Elegant touches include a personal suite stewardess to draw your bath and provide a canapés tray after a day ashore.
Dining – Choose from several fine-dining restaurants with gourmet cuisine created by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer. The menu is peppered with regional specialties. Some evenings are candlelit black-tie (optional) affairs and often feature dancing to live music.
The dining is open seating – you can dine when, where and with whom you wish or ask the maitre d’ to choose your companions for the evening. A course-by-course in-suite dining is available.
Dress code – Casual smart wear during the day. Evenings range from casual (open neck shirts and slacks), to informal (jackets – tie optional – for men, and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings typically require elegant evening gown or cocktail dress for women, and tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits for men. Sailings of eight days or less typically feature two formal nights, while longer cruises usually have three or four formal nights.
On-board entertainment – Enjoy solo cabaret singing acts and Broadway tunes from a four-piece orchestra/dance band. (But don’t expect Las Vegas-style productions.)
Spa – Choose from salon services, rejuvenating facials, private massages, exotic skin treatments, Pilates and yoga classes. Indulge in a range of spa therapies including Elemis aroma stone therapy, Swedish massage, reflexology, Japanese shiatsu as well as seaweed and detoxifying treatments. At sea, free mini-massages are available on the sun deck.
Fitness – The gym offers the latest in health equipment, including excellent resistance machines, crunch boards, benches and free weights. For cardio conditioning there’s treadmills, recumbent and upright stationary bikes and a rowing machine.
Activities – When at anchor a water sports marina allows swimming and ocean activities directly from the ship: enjoy windsurfers, sail boats, water skis, a banana boat and snorkelling equipment.
As well as an onboard swimming pool, there are three whirlpools, including one hidden in the prow that couples can reserve for a romantic evening complete with champagne and caviar. Other onboard activities including talks by guest lecturers – from professors and statesmen to authors and stars of stage and screen, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, bridge and golf putting competitions.
Casino – Small but complete with black jack, roulette, video poker and slot machines.
Price inclusions All-inclusive pricing includes all meals, an open bar (wine, spirits and soft drinks), in-suite mini-bar, one or more complimentary shore experiences and all onboard gratuities.
