Head to Ibiza for an exciting honeymoon or romantic getaway: the über-chic Balearic Island is renowned for its raucous dance club scene, jet-setting glitterati and more than 50 white-sand beaches indenting its rugged, picture-perfect coastline.

Away from the beaches, wander the narrow streets of D'Alt Vila, Ibiza’s medieval hilltop town surrounded by 22m-high stone walls and lined with 500-year-old houses – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999.

Then explore the district of Sa Penya, a labyrinth of stone-paved streets crammed with shops, bars and restaurants descending from D'Alt Vila to the harbour.

Hire a car or water taxi and explore isolated coves along the coast. Go hiking along coastal paths and across rolling hillsides scattered with old whitewashed houses, pine forests and groves of orange, almond, fig and olive trees.
