July and August are the warmest months (and the main holiday season). Moscow and St Petersburg average around 24˚C in summer, but in winter temperatures plummet below 0˚C. Throughout Russia, summer temperatures vary from 20˚C to 30˚C and in winter from 10˚C to -50˚C. |
