However, if you want to avoid the tourist crowds of July and August, visit during April to June and September to November when the weather is still pleasant and prices are much cheaper.
Paris receives a temperate climate of warm summers and cold winters, with moderate rainfall year round.
Spring temperatures average a high of 12°C (54°F) in March, 16°C (61°F) in April and 20°C (68°F) in May.
Summer is usually warm and pleasant with a fair amount of sunshine. Between June to September day time temperatures average from a low of 20°C (68°F) to a high of 25°C (77°F). You can also expect some days where temperatures climb above 32°C (90°F).
Typically, you can expect an average high of 23°C (73°F) in June, 25°C (77°F) in July and August and 21°C (70°F) in September. Be prepared for brief rain showers at anytime.
Autumn sees an average high of 16°C (61°F) in October and 11°C (52°F) in November. Night-time lows average 8°C (46°F).Winter averages 5°C (41°F). January is the coldest month with a high of 7°C (45°F) and lows of 3°C (37°F). December and February are only marginally warmer.
Parisians usually desert Paris during their annual jours fériés (holidays) in August; many shops, banks restaurants and museums (but not all) are closed.
Low season: Spring, autumn and winter offer the best deals and reasonable weather despite occasional rain showers.
Note: Book early if you plan to visit Paris during the first two weeks of October (in even-numbered years) when the city is crowded with fans attending the Paris Car Show.
