You can also expect a king size bed, an extensive dressing area, a walk-in double shower and a Jacuzzi, an outdoor shower and a verandah with a queen size day bed for napping in the sun-flecked shade of the palms. Book the island’s premium bure, Vonu Point, a spacious and traditional Fijian-built two-room, thatched cottage.
Elevated on a headland at the northern end of the beautiful blue lagoon beachfront, Vonu Point enjoys total privacy and seclusion with panoramic views over the lagoon and the neighbouring Yasawa islands.
Hand woven 6m-high vaulted ceilings arch over natural wooded floors and louvered windows open to the tranquil waters of the lagoon allowing gentle trade winds to carry the scent of tropical blossoms through the breezy interior.
Resort activities
Snorkel off the main beach or at one of the reefs that encircle the island. Scuba dive above reefs teeming with colourful marine life, experience game fishing or explore the bay in a kayak. Go for a stroll through the tropical forests, hike canopied jungle trails, explore acres of golden grassland on horseback or practice the fine art of doing nothing at all.
Location – Turtle Island is located in the Yasawa chain of islands situated north-west of the main island of Vitu Levu, a 30-minute flight by sea plane from Nadi Airport.

Year round, but best during the Fijian winter or dry season from May to October. The average temperature is 26˚C. The wet season lasts from November to April.
