The Point is geared for people to get away from it all: there are no phones and no television, and only eleven rooms on the property, each with a custom bed, large fireplace and huge bathtub. Room rates are all inclusive for two people, with carte blanche use of sports equipment, activities and facilities, as well as all meals.
Hotel activities include: Fly fishing with all equipment provided by the hotel; outdoor and lake swimming; ice skating, when the lake freezes in winter; as well as cross-country and downhill skiing. Skeet shooting, horseback riding, sailing, jogging and hiking trails, water skiing, mountain biking, hunting, volleyball, tennis, white water rafting and kayaking are also available.
Children: Children under 18 years of age are not invited to participate in the evening’s dinner party atmosphere. However, children over 14 years of age are welcome at the sister property, The Lake Placid Lodge.

Saranac Lake Region?
The best time to visit is in autumn to view nature’s display of spectacular foliage. The Saranac Lake Region (480m above sea level) has four different seasons: winters are marked by consistent snowfall and clear, crisp, cold days, with an average high of -3˚C; summers are pleasant with an average temperature of 24˚C; and spring and fall are marked by warm days and cool evenings.

The Adirondacks offer the highest peaks in New York State, more than 3000km of marked hiking trails, hundreds of kilometres of canoe routes and numerous scenic highways scattered throughout the park.
Mixed-use trails offer equestrians and mountain biking enthusiasts numerous options to choose from.
