Viti Levu, Fiji Honeymoon
While the coastline of Viti Levu is scattered with many fine beaches, Fiji’s main island is better known for its range of alternative beachside activities centered along the southern coast around Pacific Harbour, a 45-minute drive from the capital, Suva. It's the perfect island for adventurous couples looking for an active honeymoon destination.
Things to do and see
From the ‘Adventure Capital of Fiji', it’s easy to explore the mountains and lush tropical wilderness of Fiji’s interior: hike the rolling grasslands of the Nausori Highlands, raft or kayak the tumbling Navua and Luva rivers or learn about traditional Fijian culture at the Fijian Arts Village.
To the west of Viti Levu, lies the Coral Coast, a region crowded with Fijian villages, cane fields, fringing coral reefs and beaches. Go swimming at Fiji’s famous Natadola Beach, tour the Sigatoka sand dunes or explore inland to discover former ‘cannibal’ caves, hill fortifications, wildlife preserves and swim in water holes beneath picturesque waterfalls.
North of Nadi, lies the picturesque Sunshine Coast, the mountainous Rakiraki region and the stunning white sand beaches of Nananu-i-Ra Island, renowned for scuba diving, wind surfing, kayaking and game fishing.

Viti Levu's Best beach
Natadola Beach
Dig your toes into this long crescent of soft white sand that shelves gently into the warm blue waters of Natadola Lagoon. Unwind beneath shady palm trees, sunbathe on the wide beach, enjoy safe swimming at all tides, snorkel the reef at either end of the beach, body surf the waves, explore the beach on horseback and be pampered at the luxurious, boutique-style Natadola Beach Resort.
Natadola Beach is located on the east coast of Viti Levu, about an hour’s drive from Nadi airport – a perfect base to explore the mountains, rivers and native villages of Viti Levu.
