Two Oceans Aquarium, Cape Town

Meet the denizens of the deep at one of the finest aquariums in the world, home to more than 3,000 live marine specimens.

This exciting aquarium features a series of seven galleries offering a stunning display of marine life from the warm Indian Ocean to the cooler Atlantic Ocean, as well as marine environments, including tidal pools, a river ecosystem and a Kelp Forest.

Swim alongside large, ragged-tooth sharks in the predator exhibit (but only if you hold a PADI Open Water Certificate), explore the five-story kelp forest, get hands on with kelp, shells and anemones in the touch pool, see pulsating moon jellies and spider crabs, and check out the endangered jackass penguins.

If you don't fancy getting wet, you can still watch the feeding in the predator tank every day at 3pm.
