Pulau Langkawi is the largest of 99 tropical islands that lie in the Andaman Sea around 30km off the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Langkawi is easily accessible by air with daily flights from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Malaysian Airlines operates daily flights to Langkawi from the capital Kuala Lumpur and from Georgetown, Penang. Silk Air operates three weekly flights from Singapore and AirAsia offers daily flights from both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

There is also a regular ferry service from Georgetown in Penang, Kuala Perlis on the mainland and also from Satun in Thailand, with connections to Hat Yai and Phuket.
