July is still a good time to visit Langkawi even though it’s the hot, wet season.
Despite being in the rainy season you can expect hot sunny days, with around six hours of sunshine daily interspersed by brief and cooling tropical downpours that generally occur during the late afternoon and evening.
Daytime temperatures reach an average high of 31°C (88°F) with a low of 24°C (75°F) at night.
Weather conditions in July are still good for sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving.
It’s also a good time for an island hopping tour and exploring the Pulau Payar Marine Park by boat as well as hiking through lush rainforest to scenic waterfalls en route to Gunung Raya Mountain. Or head to the main town, Kuah, for some duty-free shopping.
Book early, as Langkawi is again busy from June through August as this also coincides with school holidays in the Middle-East.

The best time to visit Langkawi is between mid-November and March, although anytime is good to visit this beautiful tropical island.
