Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the rainforest from a six-person cable car on a 7km- (4.3mi)-long journey above the rainforest canopy of Barron Gorge National Park to the hilltop village of Kuranda.

Along the way, you can hop on and off at two stations (Red Peak and Barron Falls) and explore the rainforest on a short ranger-guided tour.

A one-way experience takes approximately 1.5 hours, while a return experience takes approximately 2.5 hours.

The cableway base station is located 15km (9mi) north of Cairns.

Tip: Take the Scenic Railway to Kuranda and the cableway on the return trip (or vice versa).
