Get wet and go wild in this vast water park that provides loads of fun for all ages.
Wet 'n' Wild Water World offers a choice of excellent waterslides from the aptly named Mammoth Falls to Terror Canyon II and Super-8 Aqua Racer; a wave pool complete with metre-high surf; and Surfrider that simulates the sensation of surfing the world's biggest waves, plummeting you 30 meters while you spin on a giant board.
In the Extreme H20 zone, you can plunge down the scary Kamikaze, a giant, U-shaped, friction-free slide with a near-vertical 11-meter drop reaching speeds of 50kph and thrill to the pitch-black water spirals of the Black Hole and the churning Tornado.
Had enough? Then take it easy on Calypso Beach, a ‘tropical island’ fringed with white-sand beaches and a lazy river; or check out the latest-release films at Dive'n'Movie from a tube dinghy in the water or deck chair on the shore.
Kamikaze – This unique wet and dry attraction – the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere – consists of two U-shaped wet half pipe slides.
Riders sit in two-person, inwards facing tubes and are launched down a steep slope before coming back up the other side, and so continue in a boomerang-like fashion until they run out of speed and momentum.
Tornado – This four person clover-leaf funnel slide twists down a series of drops into the funnel below, reaching speeds of up to 40kph.
Blackhole – Be immersed in complete darkness as you traverse down two enclosed tube slides twisting and turning around each other at high speed.
Mach 5 – This large water slide complex features five different slides, including the Sidewinders, two open flume slides which twist down to the bottom around the outside of the complex; and the Jetstreams, three high speed body slides, with the central slide a free-fall to the splashdown area below while the outer two slides traverse down the slope in a snake-like fashion.
Other not-to-miss rides include…
AquaLoop – Hit 60kph sliding down this collection of four looping body slides featuring a trap door release with 2.5G acceleration.
Calypso Beach – Sit in a one-person tube as the gentle current pulls you down a lazy river.
River Rapids – Try one of the four high-speed body slides on Whitewater Mountain; two are fully enclosed water slides and two are open-air flumes.
SkyCoaster – Be raised to a height of 50m before plunging at 60kph while swinging out across the Giant Wave Pool.
Super 8 Aqua Racer – Compete in an eight lane timed mat racer slide reaching speeds of up to 40kph as you race headfirst down an 86-metre long track. Sensors at the finish line give each slider their placing to an accuracy of 1/1000 of a second.
Surfrider – This half-pipe roller coaster is in the shape of a surfboard and simulates riding a wave.
Zip Lines – Strap into a series of 3 zip lines travelling from the top of White Water Mountain to the Giant Wave Pool, travelling over 200m.
Note: All pools and slides are heated during the cooler months from May through September.
