Lizard Island is located around 1624km (1020mi) northwest of Brisbane, 240km (150mi) north of Cairns and 27km (16mi) off the coast of North Queensland.
The most convenient route to Lizard Island is by air to Cairns International Airport (CNS), followed by a scenic 60-minute charter flight to Lizard Island Airport (LZR).
Charter flights are organised though Lizard Island Resort, and depart the East Air Terminal in Cairns at 11am and 2pm daily.
