Port Douglas is located around 70km (43mi) north of Cairns in Far North Queensland. The town lies adjacent to two World Heritage areas, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.

The most convenient route to Port Douglas is by air to Cairns International Airport (CNS), located 67km (41mi) south of Port Douglas, followed by car or shuttle bus – a journey of around 1 hour.

Entry requirements

UK, USA and Canadian nationals must have a passport valid for intended period of stay. A visa is required, except for those with Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). New Zealand citizens are granted a Special Category Visa on arrival.
