Bimini has just one airport located on South Bimini. Ferry boats meet arriving flights for transfer to North Bimini, where most of the resorts are located. Hotels can provide pre-arranged transport.
Lynden Pindling International Airport (formerly Nassau International Airport) is located 16km west of Nassau.
All visitors must hold return/onward tickets, plus proof of sufficient funds, and with the exception of nationals of Canada and the US, all visitors must hold passports which are valid at least six months after entry.
Australian, New Zealand and UK nationals do not require a visa for a stay of up to three months.
United States and Canadian passport holders do not require a visa for travel to the Bahamas for visits not exceeding eight months; however, they must have a valid passport or a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) compliant document, or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.
On foot mainly, however taxis are available but expensive. Bicycles and gold carts are easily rented from most resorts and are a fun way to get around.
