How to get to Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), also known as Čilipi Airport, is located about 20km (12mi) southeast of Dubrovnik city centre.


Public transport

Taxi: Taxis are available on the kerb just outside Terminal Building B. Fares are posted at the Taxi Information counter inside the terminal.

Shuttle: Shuttle buses connect the airport with the Dubrovnik bus station in Gruž, taking around 30 minutes. The single fare is Kn40.

Bus: Libertas Dubrovnik (tel: +385 800 1910; www.libertasdubrovnik.hr) operates bus services from Dubrovnik Airport. Bus stops are found immediately outside the terminal buildings.


Car rental

Car hire companies represented at Dubrovnik Airport include Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and Sixt, along with local operators.


Terminal facilities

Money: There are two bureaux de change – one in international arrivals and one in international departures – as well as a bank and a post office at Dubrovnik Airport.

Food: Cafes offer snacks and light meals, as well as drinks.

Shopping: A duty-free shop in the international departures area offers local produce, fashion and perfumes. There is also a newspaper and tobacco shop in the domestic departures area.

Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi access is available in the terminal buildings, as well as two fixed internet kiosks.

Other: Other facilities available at Dubrovnik Airport include a business lounge, a VIP lounge, a tour operator/travel agency and the airport's award-winning gardens that are worth a look.

Facilities are very basic but include ramps and lifts for wheelchairs.


Entry requirements

E.U. member country nationals can enter Croatia with just a personal ID. However, all other foreign nationals need a passport valid for at least six months beyond intended period of stay, a return/onward ticket and proof of sufficient funds.

Citizens of the U.S., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Israel and Singapore do not need visas for tourist trips of fewer than 90 days within a 6-month period. South African and Russian citizens require visas, even for short stays.

Best on foot. Bicycles and cars are available for hire.
