How to get to Estepona

Estepona is located 85km west of Málaga and 25km from Marbella.

By air, Estepona is easily accessed via Málaga’s Pablo Picasso Airport, with hundreds of daily flights to and from all the major European cities including London, Paris and Rome. Málaga is only an hour away from Madrid and one and a half hours from Barcelona by air.

By air-conditioned bus, Estepona is a stop on the frequent Málaga to Algeciras route.

Málaga Airport (also known as Malaga Costa Del Sol Airport and Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport) is located 10km southwest of Málaga and 5km north of Torremolinos.

The airport provides a train link to the city centre and a service to Fuengirola with stops at Torremolinos and Benalmádena, as well as a bus service to Málaga and Marbella. Taxis and hire cars are also available.

Madrid-Barajas Airport is located 9km from the city's financial district and 13km northeast of the Puerta del Sol, Madrid's historic centre. The airport has a rail link to the city centre.

Entry requirements

A passport valid for at least six months beyond intended period of stay, a return/onward ticket and proof of sufficient funds. No visa is required for a stay of up to 90 days.

Getting around

Apart from walking, taxis, buses and hire cars are all available to explore the Costa del Sol.
