A shuttle bus operates hourly from Nice Airport to Monaco Monte-Carlo Casino, taking about 45 minutes.

Shuttle buses provide connections to and from the heliport with major hotels and other locations within Monaco.

Monacair provides a regular service between Monte Carlo and Nice with departures every 15 minutes. There are 50 flights a day throughout the year, with connections to all arrivals in and departures from Nice.

Entry requirements

A passport valid for at least six months beyond intended period of stay, a return/onward ticket and proof of sufficient funds. No visa is required for a stay of up to 90 days.

Getting around

Monaco’s bus service offers an excellent way to travel around the Principality. Tickets can be purchased on-board from the driver.

The Monaco Bus Company (CAM) also offers a series of electronic bicycle stations. These ‘velos’ are pedal assisted to help you up the steep hills and arrive looking fresh. The battery lasts anywhere from 20-25km on one charge and stations can be found across Monaco, near the main bus stops.

Bateau Bus offers a convenient way to traverse the bay, with little boat-bus shuttles from Quai des Etas Unis to the Cruise Terminal. The bus runs every ten minutes from 8am to 8pm and costs the same as a normal bus fare.

Given the hilly terrain in Monaco, the city offers a series of lifts and escalators to take you up (or down) to where you need to be.

Taxis are also available with multiple taxi ranks throughout the city.

To travel further afield around the French Riviera, hiring a car is usually the best option. Alternatively, local buses and trains connect all the major cities and towns along the French Riviera.
