Waya Island Honeymoon Guide

This hilly island offers several gorgeous white sand beaches and some of the best walking tracks in Fiji, with spectacular panoramas and coastal views over neighbouring islands such as the towering peaks of Mount Nalauwaki and Mount Batinareba, pretty Yalobi Bay and the nearby islands of Waya Lailai and Kuata.

Sunbathe on the white-sand beach, stroll around Likuliku Bay, explore the scenic interior and visit traditional Fijian villages, such as nearby Naulawaki village where you can watch a meke (cultural show) and buy native arts and crafts.

Or go island hopping to the beautiful island of Naukacuvu and swim with manta ray's in season. Waya Island is the largest island in the Yasawa Islands group.

Nearby reefs offer excellent snorkelling and scuba diving with a choice of several great dive sites less than five minutes from the Octopus Resort in Likuliku Bay. For a great drift dive head to Black Rock at North Point to see Gorgonian Sea fans, multi-colored soft coral, schools of banner fish, eagle rays and colourful reef fish.
