Balmy and warm all year round, any time of year is a good time to visit Molokai.
For dry and sunny conditions it’s probably best to visit during summer, from June to October, when the average high temperature is 29°C (84°F).
The rainy season lasts from December to March, when you can expect slightly cooler temperatures and heavy rain in the mountains and short showers elsewhere.
Note: Hawaii is full of microclimates, given its many valleys, mountain peaks and coastal plains. The leeward sides (west and south coasts) of each island are usually hot and dry, while the windward sides (east and north coasts) are generally cooler and wet.
High season: From mid-December through March or mid-April – expect to pay top dollar for accommodations, car rentals, and airfare.
Low season: For the best hotel rates and airfares, visit in spring from mid-April to mid-June and during autumn from September to mid-December.
Note: The last week in April and early May coincide with three major Japanese holidays.
