The best time to visit Ibiza for a beach holiday is from June to mid-September. July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures rarely falling below 29°C (84°F).

April and May are good months for hiking and exploring the island and towns. In October and November, temperatures are mild, but the weather can be wet and windy.

Holiday seasons

Peak season: July and August – temperatures can soar beyond 30°C (86°F), with many hotels booked out and traffic, restaurants and beaches at their most congested.

Of course, if you like the buzz of lots of people then this is the best time to go, especially for clubbing.

High season: June and September: not quite as bad as July and August for crowds.

Low season: Winter, spring and autumn when prices are competitive with minimal foreign visitors or Spanish tourists. April and May are good months for hiking.
