Jamaica is the third-largest island in the Caribbean, located in the Western Caribbean about 145km south of Cuba and 160km west of Haiti. Jamaica receives daily non-stop flights from cities in Europe and North America.

Norman Manley International airport is 18km southeast of the capital, Kingston, just 30 minutes by taxi or coach. Donald Sangster International airport is just 3km north of Montego Bay. Taxis meet all arriving flights and hotels can arrange transport by prior arrangement. Hire cars are available.

Entry requirements

Visitors must have a passport valid for at least six months after entry. All visitors must hold return/onward tickets and proof of sufficient funds. No visa is required for a stay of up to three months.

Getting around Jamaica

Hiring a car offers the best way of exploring Jamaica. Scooters and motorbikes can also be rented, usually with the help of your hotel front desk. The island is around 235km long and 82km across at its widest point.
