If you plan to stay in Kapalua or Kaanapali, you may consider flying Island Air from Honolulu to the Kapalua-West Maui Airport – a 15-minute drive to most hotels in west Maui, rather than an hour from Kahului.

Honolulu International Airport is located about 13km northwest of Honolulu on the island of Oahu, with daily connections to Maui.
